LOVE MOMENTS: A SNIPPET

While I sweat
in mosquito-net
waiting for a kiss
she goes to sleep
loosening her breasts and
removing her feet and eyes
and covers them under the sheet
for safe-keeping

***
between her coming
to bed and sleep
a burial of longing:
her indifference widens
even touch is a no

***
await setting of
burning sun and arrival
of night to go out
for a beer and chips to soothe
her hurt spirit in moon light

***

at the swimming pool
he asks if he could borrow
her underwear just
to feel her from inside
with fidgeting currents

***
while I enclose her
in my arms
to express my affection
she suspects
I’m going to devour her
with kisses
she pierces fingernails
into my innocence

***
unzipping her cleavage
he ransacks the shelf
for the safely-kept condom:
she whispers smilingly
try something new
innovation, you know
double-barreled gun!

***
softness dies
in his pressure
much pleasure
melting elements
feed the soul in flesh

***

call it spoof
or nirvana
if you like
hidden between thighs
is the spring music
beyond birth
